TORONTO PREGNANCY PHOTOGRAPHY

Show your belly in the best light!

You have photographs to remember your wedding, graduation and other events that mark a momentous change in your life. Unlike your pregnancy, one of your most important decisions which all too often remains unrecorded. Only lately you see more and more photographs of stars and celebrities documenting this precious moment in their life with a maternity portrait session. Ever since Demi Moore’s maternity portrait graced the cover of Vanity Fair magazine, women have been inspired to record the beauty of their changing body with pregnancy portraits. No longer shy today’s moms celebrate the extraordinary changes pregnancy brings to their bodies instead of hiding them. If you too desire to keep these memories to be appreciated by the generation you are creating don’t settle for just any pregnancy pictures. Make sure you are choosing a photographer who is experienced in pregnancy portraiture. Maternity is such an important period in your life. You don’t like to miss the opportunity to get this right the first time.

At Harder Photography, owned and operated by Dania & Gerd Harder you have two very experienced photographers which have taken numerous maternity portraits in the past. Aside from offering sessions at their studio your pregnancy photos can also be taken in the comfort of your home, at a beach, cottage, lake or at any other location meaningful to you. If however you decide for a studio session Harder Photography is located only a few minutes south of Barrie or about 45 minutes north of Toronto. Everything is done to make moms to be feel beautiful while having their pregnancy portraits taken. You won’t be rushed at Harder Photography. Your portrait session will unfold with relaxing music and in a calm atmosphere. Everything possible will be done to capture the excitement looking forward to the birth of your new baby. And don’t forget your partner in life, dads are warmly invited to participate in the pregnancy portrait session. Let us capture the essence of the relationship between you, the future parents as you anticipate the birth of your baby. Also think about including your kids, especially if they are still at a tender age.

The best time for your maternity portrait is the seventh or eighth month although we have taken pregnancy portraits short before giving birth. Around 30 weeks your belly will be showing as nice and it will be easier for you to keep posing for the photographer.

Consider the following points for a successful pregnancy portrait session:

1. Plan your maternity photo shoot on a day that you will be relaxed and well rested.

2. Eat a light snack before your pregnancy session.
3. Apply light make-up
4. Bring jewelry and other accessories to manage your hair etc..
5. Bring clothing and drapery according to what you planned together with us, solid colors are better and in case of doubt bring more.
6. Pregnancy photos will often show your belly exposed or covered with a transparent veil. When you are coming for your maternity portrait shoot avoid wearing narrow underwear or a bra which might show strap marks on your skin which will be visible in your pregnancy picture.
7. Don’t plan too many other events this day so you can focus on your pregnancy photo session.
